Frontier Airlines has ceased offering flights to Jackson. Officials say it's temporary and not to be worried.
Denver-based economy airline, Economy Airline, has ended its seasonal service at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport. Plans are to resume service next spring. Although a date has not been set, the airline will be returning to service in spring 2020.
Jackson Municipal Airport Authority oversees the airport and stated that the airport is considering replacing the airline's season plan with an annual one.
LaWanda Harris, Chairwoman of JMAA, stated that Frontier Airlines continued to share a lot of happiness with JMAA's Jackson market.
"Frontier wants to become a JAN-based year-round air service provider.
Frontier representatives were not immediately available to comment.
